About Bhagavan

In his early childhood days,Bhagavan used to feel that something had gone wrong with mankind. Before wars had a reason and now they had more become like a disease. Bhagavan discovered that all problems that we face in today's world had only one cause - the feeling of separate existence from life and the Universe. Somewhere deep within he felt that he had to help mankind to get truly happy since that would solve all problems. He also realized the sad fact that mankind didn't get transformed in spite of trying very hard for thousands of years. Something seemed to have gone wrong somewhere and he felt confident that one fine day he would be able to help mankind to reach their long awaited goal of inner freedom and joy.

His parents, Mrs Vaidharbi and Mr Varadharajalu, saw their first child (Bhagavan) getting born on the 7th of March 1949 in Natham town, North Arcot District in the state of Tamil Nadu, South India.Later they were to get two more sons and a daughter.Bhagavan was a very unusual child. He was always introspective and only concerned about how to give mankind total freedom.

He worked in various places and in 1976 he married Padmavati Devi (Amma). They have one child, Krishna. In the 80's Amma,Bhagavan and his friend from childhood, Shankarji, opened a spiritual school called Jeevashram. It was here that the divine phenomenon took birth in July 1989. Suddenly the students began to experience states of cosmic consciousness. Many of them became like real prophets and mystics. Great miracles became a daily happening in the lives of these students.

After some time Bhagavan and Amma decided to begin their real project that they now knew for sure would be successful - to transfer complete enlightenment to mankind. So from a humble official beginning in 1991 Bhagavan's Oneness Movement has today approximately 15 millions members from all over the world. This number is increasing daily and many new countries get added every passing year.

Amma

She was born the 15th of August 1954 in the beautiful village, Sangham, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, South India. She is loved for her wisdom and childlike simplicity and has difficulties in saying no when asked. That is one reason of the tremendous miracles happening when people ask her for help. Persons like Amma and Bhagavan are called Avatars in India. They themselves are not bothered about what names or titles different people give them. One could say they are one being in two bodies and both of them can transfer the state of enlightenment to any amount of people.

Bhagavan is the one who is guiding this process and Amma is generating tremendous energy so that enlightenment will become available for everybody. When asked about healing, Bhagavan often tells people to ask Amma as she will react faster than him since she is an embodiment of Shakti, the feminine divine power. Those who have an inner contact (friendship) with both Bhagavan as well as Amma will get enlightenment much easier. That will awaken the lunar as well as the solar energy channel (Ida and Pingala nadi) and there will be harmony of yin and yang within.

History of Oneness Movement Kerala

Bhagavad Dharma was brought to Kerala in the year 1994.It was introduced by two ardent devotees of Bhagavan namely Sundaramji and Umaji at Kollam.Subsequentely devotees like Sri Achukuttanji and Maliniji at Ernakulam and Jayachandranji at Palghat was instrumental in spreading the Dharma at these respective places. The formal inauguration of Ernakulam centre was made on 31st July 1994 in NSS Hall, Edappally. It became the main centre of Dharma in Kerala. Preliminary intensive poojas, satsanghs, and bhajans were conducted fortnightly in different satsangh centres at Edappally.

Sri Vimala Keerthi Acharyaji visited Kerala Centers since 1995. His guidance and spiritual talks inspired large number of people and they became Amma Bhagavan's devotees. Processions (Nagara Sankirthans) were also arranged areawise and it helped the fast spreading of Dharma. S/Sri Acharyajis Vimala Keerthiji, Maithreyiji and Kausikaji conducted yagnas frequently and it helped people to know more about Bhagavan's teachings. Subsequently Sri.Acharya Vimala keerthiji became the Acharyaji in charge of Kerala.

In the year 1995, Sri Vimala Keerthi Acharyaji opened a "Satsang Hall" and it became the temple of Amma Bhagavan at Ernakulam. Bhagavad Dasas took charge of the temple in 1997 as directed by Vimala Keerthi Acharyaji. Anugraha poojas and varayagnas were conducted regularly by Dasajis. Sri Rajesh Dasaji consolidated the foundation works in Kerala for nearly four years and during this period Dharma was known to almost all parts of Kerala.

Sri Lakshmi Prabha Dasaji came to Ernakulam in the year 2000 and rendered her services till 2003. During her tenure of 3 years many programmes, such as youth yagna, women's yagna, cultural programmes, spiritual classes, havans, meditations, yogas, celebrations etc were revived and conducted regularly. This helped the devotees reach a higher spiritual state and generate a stronger bond with Amma Bhagvan. Her instructions, advices and affection made devotees happy and belonging to a single family.

From 120031 to 20041 Sri1 Rahesha 1Dasaji 11was in 1charge1 of1 Kerala,1 then1 from 2004
Sri Yoganatha Dasaji took charge of activities of Dharma in Kerala.

Now, "Friends", a socio-spiritual wing of Oneness movement aimed at the development of rural India, is conducting lot of acivities in villages, for the upliftment of rural people. All those activities are being led by Sri Vinod Dasaji and Srijith Dasaji.

"Friends" is making a phenomenal change in the rural and economically challenged sector, which is transforming their lives in all dimensions economically, socially and individually.
